The NRC commented on the Class Environmental Assessment Study Servicing Project for East Pelham, North Welland, and South Thorold Proposed Pumping Station and Forcemain.

December 1, 2003 - Proposed Waterman Extension

The NRC commented on the Class Environmental Assessment Study Servicing Project for North Welland and South Thorold Proposed Watermain Extension.

May 8, 2003 - The Niagara Water Quality Protection Strategy

The NRC submitted a letter commenting on Phase I and Phase II of this strategy.

May, 2003 - Support for new NPCA Policy

Dr. John Bacher (NRC Vice-Chair) wrote an article for the Dalhousie Peer Magazine (Volume 7, Issue 5) expressing his support of the new Valley Lands Policy being released by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.

November, 2002 - The Niagara Community Foundation

The Niagara Restoration Council was involved in helping the Niagara Community Foundation create an environmental grants program.

August 22, 2002 - Proposed Pelham Area 1 Final Report, Subwatershed Study and Environmental Impact Statement

The NRC submitted a letter of concern regarding this project on August 22, 2002.

Sept. 9, 2002 - Proposed Hydro One Power Line Project Across Lake Erie

The NRC submitted a letter of concern regarding this project on September 9, 2002.

Sept 2001 - Proposed Land Sale by the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority

The NRC is concerned with the proposed sale of the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority lands along the Welland Canal. We feel that the sale of some of these sites may have long term implications for the objectives of meeting the environmental restoration goals that have been established for the Canadian side of the Niagara River Watershed.

To assist in evaluating the sites that had been proposed to be sold, we have been in contact with the St. Lawrence Seaway Authority and the Regional Planning Department.

Oct. 2000 - Niagara River Toxics Management Plan

The newest report regarding the Niagara River Toxics Management Plan was released in Oct. 2000.
